ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE UNION LABEL

Member Responsibilities

You can help ensure that you continue to get all the benefits of union membership by paying your dues and using the union label to keep your union strong.

Union Dues

You are responsible for paying your membership dues even when you are not working. Dues are payable monthly. We appreciate your prompt payment.

Amount: $20 per month.
Due date: The first day of each month.
How to pay: By credit card, check, or money order.
• Credit card: call 732- 417- 9229 x 310 Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM.
• Check or money order: mail your payment to:

A member falls into arrears on the last day of the month in which he or she owes three months' dues. A member who owes three months' dues shall not be entitled to a seat or office in any meetings of the Local union, is not in good standing, and is not entitled to vote.

If dues are not paid by the end of the sixth month, the member's name shall be stricken from the list of membership without a vote of the Local Union.

Union Label

The presence of the Union label shows that the components were produced by highly skilled carpenters in a shop that pays its employees fairly. Take pride in it!

Use the official United Brotherhood of Carpenters label on all products produced in your union shop. If you're building or fabricating a product, be sure it is stamped before it leaves your work facility. When you are working with or installing components made in other locations, check to be sure that they, too, carry the UBC label.

If you're installing millwork, be sure to look for the Union Label
before unloading and installing.
